can you become blind all of a sudden?!
Question: Can you become blind all of a sudden?
Answers:
If your eyes are healthy then no. If you have an eye disease then you gradually get blind. If you have a bump then you may suddenly get blind.

Yes. Many structures you need for vision are dependent on blood flow. An obstruction to that blood flow could result in blindness. An obstruction to the central retinal artery would result in blindness in that eye. An obstruction to the arteries supplying the visual cortex would result in blindness and probably some other major problems.

I can think of nothing that would cause sudden permanent loss of vision or blindness other than trauma to your eyes or head or a bad ocular surgical outcome. If one should have or incur certain eye diseases, they could become blind over time. Certain other conditions can cause temporary blindness.
