Do i need a doctor for this?!

Question: Do i need a doctor for this?
we had eye testing in school today, and the lady who looked at my eyes said my left was fine, but that my right was blurry. i have always had perfect vision in that eye, and i can see fine with it. she said i needed glasses, and then held up a glass to my eye, asking if it helped. it actually made things more blurry. i don't think anyone believes me when i say that i can see perfectly fine. is there any other reason that my eye could be "blurry"?

-i never get any headaches, am not sensitive to bright lights, and have never worn glasses before. my eyes give me no trouble and work fine. i can see correctly from far distances and near as well.

even if its nothing , at least you checked(:

You might have a very slight weakness in your right eye. If it has been there a long time you would not notice it. Obviously it was picked up in the test. You would be referred to an optometrist for glasses. Believe me you will see the difference. ( pun not intended )

As one of your eye is working fine your brain tends to see through that eye and simply egnores your right eye its better you wear glasses

I'd see an actual eye doctor just to make sure. Maybe she is the one with blurry vision, but would you want to chance something so important as your sight?

It sounds like you're fine, but double check with an ophthalmologist just in case.

i'm sure this lady was just an undereducated ****.

see a eye dr. better safe then sorry later

Eye tests at school aren't all that accurate. They are really designed to see if you need to go to the optician. the fact she thought something was going to help and it didnt' tends to say that the test you had wasn't right. Also both your eyes together balance so if one eye is weak you may not have a problem. The test of whether you need glasses is if you don't have problems seeing anything without them and you don't seem to have problems. Wearing or not wearing glasses doesn't make any difference to whether your eyesight gets better or worse so its down to whether they help.

Now you could go and get an check up with an optiican and find out exactly what your perscription is, but if you have no problems why bother? The only slight thing i'd say is that its difficult to judge for yourself if your eyesight is perfect as you don't know what things are supposed to look like when they are perfect if you have never had correction. I didn't realize I had bad eyesight when I was young and I was walking into lamposts.
