When to go back to the eye doctor.?!

Question: When to go back to the eye doctor.?
I have recently noticed I can't see as clearly as I feel like I should be. I already wear contacts and I got a new prescription in May. I had been thinking I couldn't see as clearly as I had been so I did two of those online eye tests and one told me I was at 20/50 and the other I couldn't read the 20/20 line. Should I go back and have my eyes checked again? It seems odd that they would change this suddenly especially since I am 21 and my eyes should be stabilizing. But I have other pairs of contacts that I haven't used yet and I don't want them to go to waste. What would you do?

Glasses and contacts are not a therapy. Wearing your current glasses/contacts won't make your eyesight worse. You have to go to the doctor's only if you consider your vision inadequate or you experience fatigue.

in average, people go to an eye exam every year. but considering that your vision has altered since the last time you go to the optometrist, you should immediately check on the problem before it gets worse.

your lifestyle may contribute to the rapid alteration of your vision, ie. do you stare at the computer most of the day? is your diet poor in beta carotene? et cetera

i understand that you have some unused contacts, but consider this: is the money spent on the contacts worth the possible permanent damage to your eyes?

Make an oppointment with your eye doctor to fix your problem. Then go back every 6-12 months for a checkup.

Ya, go back to the doctor.

This happened to me once, but I had a slew of doctors that did not recheck the prescription. For me when I first got my new prescription, it seemed fine but after a few days i noticed my vision getting blurry. I went back and the dr. said that there must be something wrong with my eyeball so i went to specialists and different things. i even ended up having to go out of state to see a specialist because they didn't know what was wrong. it ended up that my prescription was off by 200%. none of the specialists even bothered to check my prescription. i spent months thinking that i was going blind.

Go back to your doctor. Even though you are 21, your vision can still get worse.
