If my glasses give me headaches, can I go back and get new ones?!

Question: If my glasses give me headaches, can I go back and get new ones?
In September, I believe, I got new glasses. When I tried them on they were great! But since I've been wearing them the sides have been giving me headaches and I think it's just cause they're thick sides. If I went in and got glasses that's sides were thinner then they wouldn't give me headaches. I know this because I wear my OLD glasses that have thinner sides and they never give me headaches. Problem is, they said if there's any problems within thirty days I believe I could go back. But it's too late now, so I don't know what to do? :l

But, is it the lenses giving you a headache, or is it because the frame is squeezing your head ?

I can't see what thicker or thinner sides have to do with it, unless you are talking about the fit.

Just go back and get them adjusted so they aren't so tight on the sides of your head.

Call your doctor up. it probably isn't because the sides are thick, but because the prescription is too strong. At first it probably seemed fine because you could see clearly, but once your eyes adjust to the new lenses, they could strain your eyes if the over correct them. The strain causes you to have a headache. trust me i know from experience. usually if they do fix it, it will either be covered or you might have to pay a small fee.

Self. I have been to the ophthalmologist on several occasions for myopia.

I don't think your headaches are from your glasses' thick sides.

Did you go to an eye exam before you purchased your new glasses? if you didn't, the problem may be caused by an outdated prescription in your lenses. Go to your nearest optometrist to check the compatibility of the glasses and your eyes.

you will have a hard time convincing them your problem occurred within the 30 day time and you tried to solve the problem
they might be willing to make an adjustment, but don't count on it
