Question: Internal bleeding on my mother's eye only one side of the eye.?

My mother had never been healthy, but recently she has just started going to the pool for some daily exercise. Maybe due to stress, one side of her eye seems to be internally bleeding. She said at first she felt some weight on her eyelids and some uncomfortableness, but that nothing hurts. Please let me know if you know what is going on. I've seen people with internal bleeding on their eye, but now that it has happened to my mother, I want to know if it is going to effect her negatively. Thanks

If the bleeding is internal how does she know she has it? Internal bleeding is only visible to an eye doctor using a special instrument to see inside the eye.

If the eye is red on the outside, then she should see an eye doctor to find out why.

How long has it been bleeding for? If for only a relatively short period of time, It sounds like a simple ruptured blood vessel.

These are not too big a deal, and CAN be caused by strenuous exercising (especially if one is not used to exercising regularly)
