What happens at the eye doctor?!

Question: What happens at the eye doctor?
I have to get an eye exam tomorrow and I am a little nervous. I'm not really sure what to expect. Could someone break down what happens for me? Does anything hurt? I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up having to get glasses. Which I'm not too happy about but I'm more nervous about what they actually do during the exam.

Well this is what happens at mine. They say hi to me. Take me into a room and make me look into the first machine that has a picture and they do stuff and ask you if it moves around. Also they like blow a puff of air in your eye through a machine to check to make sure your eyes okay. Then you do the great eye test. Then from there they will fit you for your prescription with this awesome giant thing that has a bunch of lenses and they will be like this one or this one. Nothing hurts there. Haha it's not bad.

well the doctor looks at your eyes and checks for any problems, then might put eye drops in you eyes and it will make your eyes feel weird and he might use a pressure checker just go over both eyes. then he takes a closer look at your eyes with bright lights but the room might be dark then you have to go though an eye test with the letters then thats about it he/she tell you if you got problems or not... no shots ..... good luck

They'll just test to see what you can see well and where you might have issues/need glasses. There is absolutely no need to worry, there will be no pain. Be prepared to read and tell them whether the first slide or second was better.
