i have an astigmatism and i'm wearing contacts that don't correct asti!

Question: I have an astigmatism and i'm wearing contacts that don't correct astigmatism?
i just recently got contacts yesterday and the doctor said i don't need contacts that correct astigmatism because mine is slight

but, while wearing my contacts i have noticed that the my vision takes a second to focus
and in my right eye i get an effect where
the world is sort of curved in the way like for example, when you tour the inside of a house online in 'real life' mode and the image is curved
thats the effect that im getting in my eye
this is my first time wearing contacts
do you think this means that i need contacts that do correct my astigmatism?
sorry if i'm being unclear
ask questions and i will clear them up
thanks in advance

Answers:

Talk to the eye doctor that examined you and let them know that your vision is not as clear as you thought it would be and the distortion that you are experiencing.

Depending on your prescription, it may be that you need the script tweaked and you may very well need to get a contact that corrects your astigmatism. But then as the eye doctor found, it may be so slight, that contacts may not be able to correct for it. But settling for the first set of contacts, is not what you should do. You should keep pressing the issue, until all options are tried. You may find that contacts will never correct your astigmatism, and that glasses may be your only option, based on your perscription.

Yeah check that contact is resting on cornea the proper side. Also what is your prescription? It may take a little while to adjust to contacts. Also is it a soft or hard contact lens? Be more descriptive next time.

Your contact might be flipped inside out.

Contact do not work for everyone you may have to go to regular glasses. I did.
