Question: I got poked in the eye!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok ok so today when i was at a cafe with my husband and kids my 3 year old got mad at me and poked me very very hard in the eye. She poked in near the corner of the eye. Nearly 5 seconds after she poked my eye it was bleeding. It wasn't gushing blood just like a little bit. Again today around 5 it bleed again.. and now its bleeding again. It hurts tremendously when i blink. It is also only red and "vainy" in that one area of the eye. I am very worried that i can get it infected after reading many articles.. P.S- i did nothing to it all day - never cleaned it never touched it just put on make up whick i only use a soft brush for eyeliner and some mascara. Thanks so much..

You need to go to the eye dr ASAP. A red eye after being poked is normal, blood is not especially when it keeps reoccurring. I would avoid any kind of make up until after you see a doctor - it would be like putting lotion on an open wound... lotion itself is not bad but on an open wound the ingredients can be dangerous. If it has stopped bleeding you might be able to wait until your eye dr opens normal business hours - but get the first open appointment, but if it bleeds again, you might want to take a trip to the local 24/hr clinic or ER just for safety. Hope all turns out to be nothing!
