A pupil does not actually exist. Its the name of the hole inside the iris

The iris is the coloured part of the eye. The pupil is there because of a gap in it and you are looking at the inside of the eye basically through the pupil. Light has to go inside that hole so to give us eyesight

It looks black thereprobably because the inside of the eye is dark (no light)
