I see millions of tiny black and white spots everywhere I look?!

Question: I see millions of tiny black and white spots everywhere I look?
Especially if it's in a dark area, it's kind of effecting my vision and I've been to an eye specialist... They dilated my eyes and he said everything was fine. They are white and black spots that aren't moving, they aren't floaters... I have floaters and they aren't them. The spots are sensitive to light and I have them 24/7 and I can still see them when I close my eyes... What's wrong???

It's called visual snow. Its very common. Check it out on wikipedia:

I should also note that my friend, who is studying optometry, says it is no big deal. There hasn't really been any big formal study on the subject (for what causes them and their implications), but about 99% of people who have them tend to live out normal lives.

Go to a different eye specialist, this sounds like you could have something wrong. Have you been staring at the sun for a long time, or do you work where there is welding going on? bright lights? Sound like your eyes have been burnt or you looked in to something for to long. sometimes this repairs it`s self if you could stay in a dark room for two three days, or wear a blind fold or something. I wish you will and hope this goes away, You need your eye sight..I`ll pray for you and ask God to heal your eyes, But I am not saying it will work, but won`t hurt to give it a try.. Good Night and you take care.

I had that before and they said it could have been from migraine head aches. My head wasn't even hurting but the doctor said that it can effect with your vision. The doctor said it happened to her and that she would get spots and she couldn't see very well even though she felt no pain from the migraine. This is a sign of high blood pressure.

try not to eat anything with a bunch of salt and msg- this could decrease your blood pressure a little. But i would see a doctor.

Umm, if I were you I'd probably talk to a different eye specialist because this isn't normal and for your eye specialist to say everything is fine hes probably a fake or just acting

Dude I have that too man!
