what do my eye test results mean?!

Question: What do my eye test results mean?
Right: SPH = +0.25
CYL = -0.50
AXIS = 180

Left: SPH = +0.25
CYL = -0.75
AXIS = 180

Is my eye sight really bad, especially for a 17 year old, and will i really need to wear glasses? If i dont wear them will my eyesight get worse?
Also what does this difference in CYL mean?
Thank you :)

youre slightly short sighted. Its not bad at all. I'm CYL -10.0 in the right eye and CYL -9.00 in the left eye. I cant see a thing without my glasses, its like one big blur....so compare my results to yours -0.50 and -0.75 is really good!!

Dear A

Your eye test results reveal that your eyes have mixed astigmastism.
It is recommended that you always wear glasses so to be able to see clearly.

CYL and AXIS are my special numbers. They show a person with astigmatism. You either need some cylinder correction on your glasses or to wear contact lenses of toric type.
You may also be suitable for some...laser eye surgery.
Remember bad eyesight is genetic and the wearing of glasses should never be avoided
