floaters and staring at the moon.?!
Question: Floaters and staring at the moon.?
I have several floaters in both eyes and have been reading up on ways to help or reduce them. One strange one I read was by staring at the moon for 5 minutes a day it can help reduce them. On the website I saw this on there was a picture of the moon so I tried it as Ive got nothing to lose and guess what while I was looking at the picture they did actually disappear but only while I was looking at the picture of the moon. As soon as I looked away they returned. I would really like to know why they disappear when I look at the picture and if this has been proven to be successful in the long term. Thanks

Floaters are normally bubbles of gas, so anything like that won't make a difference.
I recently heard that there were some experimental treatments but I can't remember what it was (possibly laser?).
Maybe you could ask a doctor or optician if they've heard of it.
