Steps to getting an eye exam then the glasses?!

No! Don't get glasses just yet! I went for over 7 years being in need of glasses and I avoided getting any, as I knew how much of a hassle it would be to have to wear them, or to have to wear contacts. I eventually gave up and decided to get glasses. 2 months into having glasses and I stumbled upon a program of eye-exercises that would improve my eyesight in just a few short weeks.

Depends where you live!
If you live in the US or UK, make an appointment at an optometrist and have a test. If you live in France, go to an ophthalmologist.
If you have your own frame, some opticians will put new lenses in them, but the frames must be in good condition and you will have to pay a reglaze charge for using them. It depends on the opticians policy and using old frames. Remember that older frames are weaker and more likely to break so that if you use them it is at your own risk.
