whats wrong with my eye?!

Question: Whats wrong with my eye?
my right eye seems to have gone weird.. i can see but if i close my right eye my left eye sees things sharper - is that normal? and is it normal to be worse when on the laptop/watching tv?

secondly, it feels like theres something in the corner of my eye and it itches sometimes, and waters sometimes too. i had an infection in it about 4 years ago and it never seemed to have left :/ is it worse because its winter? - also, it feels swollen sometimes under the eye.. i used BROLENE drops before and they worked but when it came to winter months it got worse again?

Having different visual acuity in your eyes is pretty common. Excessive use of computer or TV viewing can cause temporary eye strain which causes your vision to seem worse and it will happen to most people who over indulge in these things.

Itchy eyes can be a symptom of dry eyes and winter weather can certainly make it worse. If you haven't been to your eye doctor in 4 years, it is certainly time for you to get another eye exam.

Everyone should have a comprehensive dilated eye exam every few years. Most of us don't see an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist until we have a real problem, which might have been prevented or minimized if we had regular exams.

Vision being different in your different eyes isn't unusual. Your brain tends to balance out the 2 eyes so when you close one your vision is slightly different. Its difficult for you to assess if your vision is worse when on a laptop or watching tv - you tend to notice any problems in your eyesight more when doing this sort of thing so its difficult to tell if there is a real difference. If your eyes get strained then sometimes it feels a bit blurry.

If you are still having problems with the eye that had an infection you need to go to the doctor. Winter is harder on the eyes I find much as it is harder on the skin so any problems may show up more.
