Eyes tired from reading notes from the computer and books?!

Question: Eyes tired from reading notes from the computer and books?
Recently for the past week i have been studying for my exams like 8 hours a day of reading notes and doing exam questions because throughout the year i have barely studied. Now im noticing my eyes are always tired when i read my notes. I have been reducing my sleeping hours. I use to sleep from 1030pm to 830am now i sleep from 11pm to 630am. Is my eyes tired due to stress and less sleep time or do i need glasses? And if i keep doing this routine for another week will it affect my eyesight in the long term? or is these just short term effects

You should of course sleep more, but the most important thing regards how you use your eyesight. You have to take as many breaks as possible while you read/study: During those breaks look at something far away (out of a window for example). Another very useful thing you should do is wearing reading glasses, it's the kind of glasses you find in drugstores and which you can buy without your doctor's prescription. Buy +1.50 glasses (if you can't find +1.50 use +1.00) and use them only when you have to read something close (computer, books and so on). Remove thme when you have to look at something farther. Those glasses will greatly help you relieve the stress and fatigue you're experiencing. You won't get used to them, don't worry. Your eyesight won't be affected in a negative way. On the contrary, your eyesight will benefit from them because eye strain will be greatly reduced.

You have temporary eye strain caused by excessive of use of your eyes doing close work, like the computer and reading, in addition to stress. Try to take 5 minute breaks to rest your eyes every hour or so. Once you get back to your normal routine, the tired and/or blurry eyes should resolve. The condition is temporary and will not permanently effect your vision.
