No they are not. I believe these are circle, geo, or costume type lenses that you purchased online or at a mall, without a prescription and which are sold illegally. Therefore they are NOT fitted to the curve of your eye which make them look bulgy. They can also block necessary oxygen from reaching your eye causing sight threatening infections and have been known to slice through the wearer's cornea.

Prescription colored contact lenses can be purchased with a 0 correction and will be fitted to the curve of your eye and will be safe to wear. They will cost more and you will have to see an eye specialist for an exam, but you won't be blind.
