My new glasses are hurting my eyes and makes me dizzy?!

Question: My new glasses are hurting my eyes and makes me dizzy?
I just got new glasses and they make me dizzy and it kind of feels like my eyes are working harder to adjust to my glasses. I have been wearing glasses since I was nine and nothing like this has ever happened. When i put on my old ones, it feels like the world is clearer, but when i put these on, something is off. THings are not blurry, it are clear but something just doesn't feel right. I am far sighted with astigmatism and I have a very low prescription. Also they prescription from my last pair to this pair are not that different. Why is this? also, i have had contacts for a little while with the same prescription as these glasses and those never made me feel dizzy

Occasionally the prescription is wrong or they have the wrong lens in the glasses as does happen.
Try wearing them only a few min. at a time and slowly extend the time, If it still does not work, take them back to the Lens maker and ask they be checked or go to a different one just to check,

If they are still saying they are right, ask to be tested again and compare the results, perhaps the readings were wrong. Don't try to force Your eyes to adjust when it seems wrong--get them checked or the RX,

Occasionally new glasses may be a problem as the strength is a little different that is why slowly try to adjust

Take them back and have them double check the presciption. It could be just an adjustment period - but these are your eyes so it's better to be safe than sorry!

I get this too, when I wear my newly prescribed glasses for the first few times. It should go away in a day or two. This is just your eyes readjusting to the new degree
