Colored contact lenses in grey ?!

Question: Colored contact lenses in grey ?
? I need to have grey eyes for one occasion.

? I've been given Freshlook Colors (Misty Gray) and Bausch & Lomb Natural Colors (Platinum), and I decided to give them a try first.

? I tried Freshlook in friday, and they are very comfortable , but, in pictures taken that night color looks so fake and plastic, and pupil hole is unbelievably big, so when pic is taken with flash my natural eye color "penetrates" below the lens.

? I tried B&L last night, they are the perfect opaques (my natural eye color, which is dark, was entirely covered and pupil hole is very small, perfect size).
However, they are incredibly uncomfortable (which I find shocking, because I use B&L as my everyday lenses and they are the most comfortable lenses I've ever worn ), my right eye "was crying " for the whole night, right lens was constantly "moving" and "rotating" which caused blurred vision, and today I even have a headache (and no, I didn't get drunk :P )

? So, I need combination of these two, lenses with small pupil hole, with somewhat natural appearance but that they're are still comfortable enough for surviving one night with them ( 9 hours).

? Do you know any brand that produces colored contact lenses in grey (and that it's available in European market ) with these specifications ?

? ????? ??? ?

Answers:

I think you hit the nail on the head: pupil size vs comfortabilty.

I love Freshlook colour blend grey, they are so very comfortable, but you are right they do have a large pupil gap.

I have recently discovered Solotica lenses which I personally think are the most realistic looking lenses in the market, whilst the pupil hole is quite small too. They are so comfortable that I forget that I am wearing them.

You can either get the NATURAL COLOUR range that have a small dark limbal ring (black circle on edge of lens to make colours pop, or the HIDROCORS that don't have the limbal ring which are very very realistic. However, because they are so realistic they are less bright than the natural colours, but they are still bright enough to make a difference. My favourites though are natural colours!

You can purchase them from lensmarketplace.com to the UK (I live in London), it's also the CHEAPEST website around!! I have the Natural colours in Quartzo (my favourite :) they are grey with touches of blue and green, I also have grafite which are closer to the freshlook colour grey!

Go on youtube and check the video reviews of the styles and decide what style you like better - solotica NATURAL COLOURS or solotica HIDROCOR - I think from the sounds of things you make like the hidrocors as they are so realistic looking, whereas I like my eyes to pop lol!!

E.g. these are my favorites - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgSTcI2vQ…

Hope that helps! Good luck! X

N.b they are also permanent lenses and last for years. But the price is still really good!!

Hi, try Solotica in Quartzo (grey) they are very very natural looking with a small 4mm pupil opening.
