It means you're nearsighted (the medical term is myopia).In other words you have trouble seeing distant things. -2 indicates the power of the lens you need to see well. A -2 myopia is a moderate one. High myopia would be -8 or higher . Those 62 millimeters are the distance between your eyes ,from one pupil to the other. Its purpose is to adapt the lens to the position of your eyes and therefore give you the best possible quality of vision.

Ok it means that you need a correction of -2.00 sphere in your right and left eye. You dont have an astigmatism so your prescription is pretty straight forward. The L.P.D is the distance between your pupils ( Pupil distance) So basically if you need to get glasses made up that is were the prescription will sit in the frame you choose.
