You need to be more specific on what you mean by "radiation."
Most sunglasses provide UV protection (cheap ones are just dark) - at best they may protect you from ultraviolet radiation, but nothing else.
It probably won't protect your eyes from radiation, but it might be just good for your eyes to not be subjected to such bright lights for an extended period of time.
