Contacts please help?!

You're eyes could be red because
1. you scratched your eye while putting on contacts
2. you took a nap with your contacts on
3. there could be something that your eye is allergic in your solution/ contacts

Are your eyes still red when you put the lenses back in ? It could be that you are wearing your lenses for too long. It might also be that the fit on the new contacts isn't perfect or as you say you are allergic to something involved. Can you revert to your old type of contacts to see if its the new ones causing it? I would be inclined to leave the contacts out for a couple of days and then retry. If I still had a problem I'd go back to the eye doctor and say the new contacts are a problem.
