Week-long eyelid twitching? Driving me bonkers!!?!

Question: Week-long eyelid twitching? Driving me bonkers!!?
My upper right eyelid has been twitching on and off (at least every 10 minutes) for the last week. It's freaking me out, and driving me insane.

Are there some type of eye drops that will help?
Please help! x(

Answers:

- Get more sleep
- Do the 30-30-30 procedure (If you are at a computer a lot, look away from the screen at a distance that is at least 30 feet, for 30 seconds, every 30 minutes.)
- Avoid exposing yourself to high contrasts at large intervals. (Example is watching movies up close in the dark. Using computer at night in the dark with no room lights, etc.)
- Drink plenty of water! (To be honest, I say this to anyone who has a problem with anything. Nobody drinks enough water! It heals the body!)

This used to to me too until I realized that it was because I wasn't getting enough sleep and keeping on lights around the house even when it was late. If you get the lights off, especially the bright ones, you will notice that the twitches slow down or stop. It should take a few days of good sleep and regulating the lights to get your eye back to normal. If it doesn't, then you should see a doctor.

Good luck! =)

Experience

For eye drops, you must consult an ophthalmologist. do not rely upon any other source. It is the matter of your vision. So, be careful. However, you can prevent your condition from getting worse by wearing sunglasses. I personally like ray ban sunglasses. Do check them out on the Internet. If you ask me, i can give the url of a website. It is https://www.ezcontactsusa.com/. you can check it out otherwise there are numerous on the web.

According to the Mayo clinic, http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/eye-twitching/MY00102 , the following can be factors:

Alcohol use
Caffeine
Lack of sleep
Stress
Physical exhaustion

Do any of these apply? Maybe modify these things before resulting to medication?

I have suffered from seizures my whole life and I have experienced that too. It comes and goes from time to time and it feels really weird. My doctors have always thought it's from my medications.

You might want to ask your doctor about this. It could be from something worse than you think :S

Good Luck
