Strabismus is a condition in which the eyes point in different directions. It is commonly termed 'misaligned eyes', 'wandering eye', 'eye muscle problem', 'crossed eye', or incorrectly "lazy eye" Lazy eye actually refers to Amblyopia, another childhood eye defect, where the brain does not send proper signals to the eye causing poor/low vision which is not correctable with corrective lenses.
Strabismus in adults is often the result of progressive, untreated or unsuccessfully treated strabismus from childhood. There are also many adults who develop strabismus as the result of an injury or disease, which then frequently leads to double vision.

Dear HAman
The most common cause of strabismus in adults is a refractive error in the vision of the effected eye
