Polysporin drops for conjunctivitis/pink eye is a very fast treatment. It usually is cleared up in 2 or 3 days with that.
It is available over the counter at any pharmacy in Canada , but in the US, you need a prescription for it.
Pink eye won't always go away on it's own in a week...it can drag on for a long time if left untreated.

antibiotics. At least thats what I thought until I read that it will just go away after about a week. I would go to the Dr anyways. I do know its highly contagious, so don't touch it.

there is no cure, whether you mean for pink irises or pink sclera (white bit of the eye). if the irises are pink (albino) wear contact lenses. if the sclera is pink, wear sunglasses.
