What axis 1 day Acuvue Contacts for Astigmatism should I get?!

Question: What axis 1 day Acuvue Contacts for Astigmatism should I get?
I currently wear Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism. I really want to get daily lenses, but they are not availible in US. However they are availible in UK and I can order them online. Only problem is that the axis is different in the daily lenses. I have 50 axis for left and 130 axis for right eye in Acuvue Oasys, but the closest 1 day Acuvue fo Astigmatism have is axis 60 and axis 120. Would it be OK for me to go up/down 10 on the axis?

Answers:

That's a real gamble on whether they will work for you.

If you have a fairly high astigmatism correction , and a low sphere power, 10 degrees could make them quite blurry.

Anyway...in cases like that, we go by the LARS rule , which means, Left Add Right Subtract , based on how lenses usually rotate.

So, 60 & 120 are precisely the best choice, but that's no guaranty you will see well with them , or that they will even fit you.

Daily's are thinner and often fit quite differently than regular lenses.

So, good luck with them.

I'd add to what Footprin has said taht I have dailes and fortnightlies. I use dailies for swimming and htis is very useful however I don't find the astigmatism quite as good as there is a closer match to my perscription in fortnightlies. Also they are more awkward to handle as they are a lot thinner and its suprising how much more difficult this makes it.
