People who wear glasses, can you see without the glasses?!
Question: People who wear glasses, can you see without the glasses?
Answers:
It depends on what your glasses are fixing (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, vertical deviation, etc) and the magnitiude of the correction and what your definition of "see" is.
Before I got LASIK 3 years ago, my glasses prescription was right around -5.75 in each eye (which is for myopia) with no correction needed for astigmatism. I could only read things that were within about 6 inches of my face, and I had to squint to see my large-print alarm clock. Anything that was over a couple feet from me was blurry. So I could still "see" - it just had to be close.
I am an optometry intern.
Depends what you mean by see. I can see but everything looks as if I was looking at it through heavily obscured glass. Its more useful than if everything was black and I was blind but its kind of hard to get around.
Yes. I can see the color of objects and the general shape of the object without my glasses.
