Can you have an x-ray whilst having dental braces?!

Question: Can you have an x-ray whilst having dental braces?

I need an x-ray on my knee but I have metal dental braces.
I know that when you have an x-ray you have to take off anything metal
So can I have an x-ray?

It's not MRI...you can have metal in your mouth. You just can't have anything metal over the area being x-rayed.

They will be x-raying your knee not your mouth. If you cant remove it just tell them at the beginning. I very much doubt you are the first person to go through this.

i had an x-ray on my knee with braces and it was fine. it's not like they can make u remove your braces, lol
