One of the factors controlling pupil size is emotion. If you are more excited or scared, your pupils get larger. For most people, telling a lie would put them in one of those categories. You would have to be extremely observant to notice it. In general, contact lens wear would not effect this effect. Wearing opaque lenses might make it even harder to detect.
