why when I wake up my eyes are very dry?pls help?!


Question: Why when I wake up my eyes are very dry?pls help?
when I get sleepy or when I wake up my eyes are very dry,I use eye drops just to wet them,I also use contacts but not often,I only use them when I go out,so most of the time I use glasses...pls can anyone tell me how can I fix this,I get my eyes checked every year,and my contact brand is fresh look and my prescription is -3.75 =/

You dont say what your age is , I have suffered with this for some time,if your eys feel as though they have bits of grit in them it is called dry eyes there is a medical name for it which i cannot remember at the moment , there are drops of the market called artifical tears which will help you and you can purchase from a chemist without prescription, you put them in when required, Next time you go to the opticians you should ask him to check for this it is annoying but there isnt much you can do about it , it is caused by the eyes not supplying enough lubrication for the eyes.
I may be wrong and it may be something else but it is worth a check on it .
