What is the rarest eye color? Which eye colors are mutated?!

Question: What is the rarest eye color? Which eye colors are mutated?
Okay, somebody told me that green eyes are the rarest, but blue eyes are becoming extremely rare because they represent a recessive allele. Brown are the most common for sure but they have a dominant allele. I also heard if brown and blue mix, you get green and vice versa.
Somebody else told me blue eyes are mutated and not a true eye color. They also told me that blue eyes are only blue because they lack pigmentation, same with hazel and grey and violet, and brown and green are the only true eyes color. But I also heard green eyes are mutated and blue is a true eye color instead.
I personally think green eyes are the rarest, I've met very few people with green eyes. My Dad has green eyes, my brother has blueish-green but more green, my friend Ciera has a beautiful green, my best friend Hannah has green eyes but denies it and says she has blue eyes, but I see them as green. I have blue eyes, a beautiful blue in my opinion. My Mom has blue eyes.
If known, how can my brother get blueish-green and I get blue if my Mom has blue eyes and if my Dad has green eyes? I heard green swamps out blue in general, but my Mom's blue eyes have been swamping out my Dad's green eyes! This is complicated but so much fun.

Answers:

Blue eyes were originally caused by a genetic mutation (see the link below). Blue, green, gray and hazel eyes are all caused by the same gene. The amount of melanin in the eye determines eye color. Brown eyes are caused by a differerent gene.
