There are several reports that the materials used are of questionable quality , and the manufacturing process isn't done under sterile conditions.

Are they true ?....hard to tell. Could just be bad publicity to try and discourage kids from buying them because there have been problems . The problems mainly stem from the fact they can be bought by kids who know nothing about contacts. They are only one size, but not every one is that same size, and bad fitting contacts can cause problems with the cornea. As well as many infections because the kids have no clue how to care for them and clean them right.

Either way...those Circle lenses aren't approved for sale in the USA , Canada , or the UK....so the only way to get them is online from foreign countries who will sell to anyone. Korea and Hong Kong.

They are only made in one curvature, but that curve only fits maybe 70% of people...the other 30% end up with problems.

I don't believe the lenses in themselves are dangerous, because there are no recalls that have been heard of in Hong Kong or Korea or anywhere else , where they are very popular.

It's all because of a lack of knowledge and common sense by people who wear ill fitting lenses until a major problem happens , that they have a bad name.

As for links...just type " Circle lenses " in Google and you will get lots of links.

Optician

I believe they are safe. You should really ask your optometrist first though before buying a pair. Like the above answerer said, they only have one base curve, which may or may not fit your eye.

pinkcon.com is a safe site to order from (:
i have ordered a couple of times from them and they sell authentic brand circle lenses shipped directly from Korea.

I've heard that GEO lenses (the most popular) brand are poor quality which is why they're usually cheaper and more easily obtained. I have a pair and they are def not as comfortable as my Mrine (brand) lenses.

Circle lenses are bigger than normal contacts and they may block out more oxygen from getting to your eyes. So only wear them MAX 2 - 3 times a week and no more than 8 hours a day.

~ Hope i helped!
:D

I own circle lenses

I've been using Acuvue Define (Accent) for 3 days. They're daily disposables and are very comfortable (love the 8.5 BC!). There are 2 types of Acuvue Define, one is Accent which enlarges your eyes with a brown outer lining, the other is Vivid which has a gray/black outer lining. Previously I've been using Acuvue Daily Moist and after switching to these Defines I honestly don't see any difference in terms of eyes drying out faster. They're close in price too.

If you're looking for bigger enlargement though, Acuvue Define doesn't give the most enlargement. I heard that GEO is better if that's what you're looking for. As for me, I'm sticking to Acuvue as they're more reputable and of better quality. I mean, we're talking about eyes here hehe. The only pair I've got too!

The link below has some reviews (not mine) on circle lens, you can see snapshots of eyes without and with Acuvue Define contacts and others.
