I just got contacts...and people say i look better with glasses?!

Question: I just got contacts...and people say i look better with glasses?
Do you think they mean it in a mean way; or are saying that because they are used to me wearing glasses all day?

Just like the other said they're not used to it.

Mostly, they aren't used to seeing "you without glasses. People don't like change; it's a known fact. And I agree, it Does take some getting used to seeing a friend nope have glasses on!

Another thing that might explain your situation is that they may be jealous of your new appearance. They probably also wanted contacts and are upset that you got them before they did Or that they don't like how much attention you have been getting. It's kinda sad how people think this way, but it's true. Some people just don't like the new change and sudden attention. It's not good to be negative, but the way humans think isn't always fair nor equal.

Hope this helps! Good luck! (:

personal experience. same thing happened to me when i got contacts.

People do get quite a shock if they are used to you in glasses and see you in contacts. Sometimes they will even have problems recognizing you. The "you" they see in glasses and teh "you" they see in contacts is different and quite frequently they don't like the change. Its not like it used to be when glasses were so ugly and heavy there was no dispute. I don't wear contacts to business meetings certainly as it helps to be taken seriously to wear glasses. Frequently people perceive your eyes as looking "weak" when they first see you without glasses - which shows some sort of basic interaction between their knowledge and judgement of you. Over time they will change their minds and like you in both. People who have seen you first in contacts will have a different opinion the first time they see you in glasses. Contacts have advantages other than just looks - better vision all round. Take advantage of the differences people see to swop between the 2 - it gives you a slightly different persona in the eyes of others.

it's because there not used to you contacts and people tend to not like things there not used to. Just give it some time. It's the same situation when someone with long hair cuts there hair, people are not going to like at first.

Ive noticed that certain people that I've only seen with glasses can look kind of washed out without them. Just give it some time, I'm sure they'll come to realize you're pretty either way.

Try to show more bangs in front or on the side of your face. You should do a complete transformation so they will not single out your galssess.
