Answers:

Contact lenses are only dangerous to be slept in if you do it over and over again. The reason is that the contact lenses asphyxiate your eyes. If you were to never take your contact lenses out for say, several months, then actual blood vessels would begin to grow near the surface of your eyeball. I am speaking from personal experience here. I used contact lenses for half my life -- until I got corrective eye surgery.

If you sleep in your contacts accidentally once in a while, you aren't going to have any problems other than perhaps some MINOR dry irritation. Just don't make it a habit! You will regret it.

hi, there is a contact lens called Night and Day by CIBA Vision. However, I recommend to take the lens out b/c u need to give your eye a break and breath in oxygen from the cornea when sleeping. Talk to your optometrist but u need to discipline yourself to take care of your eyes. You only have two. if you purchase a nice pair of glasses, you will always want to wear one. See an optician to see what woud look good.

I just got contact lenses a few weeks ago and my I asked this same question. My doctor said that it is okay to sleep in them sometimes, but not to make a habit of it. She said that there is also overnight contacts.
