a white cloudy speck the size of a grain of sand formed on my iris?!

Question: A white cloudy speck the size of a grain of sand formed on my iris?
i noticed it this morning when i woke up. my eye was all pussy and red. then i noticed there was a cloudy white speck on the edge of my iris. i thought i could wipe it away, but i came to realize that it wont come off. and my eye is kind of sore when i blink.

by the way, i wear contacts, but not all the time.

i know i should probably see an optometrist, but does anyone know what this is?!

If you slept with your contacts in, you might have developed a corneal ulcer. It's bad news. Get it checked out. Your vision isn't something you want to wait around to see if it gets better.

Sounds like you could have scratched your eye. Keep your lenses out for a couple of days and put some eyedrops in. If it doesn't heal in 48 hours or is getting worse then you need to see an optometrist. In my experience most things like this heal in 48 hours without intervention.
