Can I mess up my eyes being on the computer too long?!
Question: Can I mess up my eyes being on the computer too long?
Answers:
A lot of close up work could potentially cause you to develop a little nearsightedness. However, what should concern you is that your eye muscles have to work really hard to focus on anything up close. If you keep using them for a long period of time, the muscles will tire out and you'll have a strained feeling around your eyes, temples, etc. It's best to give your eyes a break every once in awhile.

Not for a few movies. But I have heard that some people with sensitive eyes who work on computers or CRTs all day long might develop a kind of fast growing cataract that could lead to blindness.
