It is in fact due to cholesterol deposits in patients with raised levels. There is evidence from a recent study that people as young as 15 can have issues. (Nothing new under the sun, the same was found in youngsters in the Vietnam war.) It may be dietary or hereditary, but either way it would be a good idea to show the thing to your GP who may wish to check your cholesterol.
GP for more years than I care to remember
It could be to do with your diet, pehaps you need to check how much fat your consumming in your day to intake of food, try to balance your greens, fresh juice and olive oil instead of butter and lard or margarine.
