Question: Need advice for Cosmetic contacts!?
I bought cosmetic contacts, without any prescription. I also went to Optometrist to find out how much does the whole contact lenses training cost. I found out it's very expensive. Anyway the optometrist told me that, wearing cosmetic contacts for 24hours can blind you. So now I am wondering, would it hurt if I at least wore it a few hours on my eyes? I mean would it be bad to do it? I always want to but I keep getting second thoughts to no put it on. Although I don't know. I mainly bought it for a cosplay, that I will cosplay as a particular character. That day I would need it on for like 6-8hours. So I am wondering will it be bad if I do put it on my eyes for few hours(but like to take it also out a few hours and put it back on)? Since it's not a prescription contact lenses.
As well as, I need help on how do you keep your contacts clean from bacteria and etc. Do we have to wash it and put some kind of contact lenses cream to was out the bacteria? and would I have to buy this first before I put on my contacts on my eyes?

It is true that they can blind you. If you never had a proper contact fitting, the contact might have too small of a base curve and would suffocate your eyes. If you had a contact fitting and the base curves are the same than it wouldnt be bad to wear them. To keep the contacts clean, always wash your hands with soap before handling them. Soak them in contact solution whenever they are not in your eye. ReNu (by bascue and lomb) and Opti-Free are the most commonly used contact solutions. Depending on the brand of contact, you may have to soak your contact in your own solution before wearing it for the first time.
go buy contact cleaner at target and wash them. read the back and wash them wen you take em out and put them in a contact container. there easy to put in just pop em on lense wear then for only like 4 hours at a time.
