What did people do before glasses were invented?!

It seems glasses started to be used about 1450 (at least you start seeing people with glasses appearing in engravings, wood-cuts, paintings, etc starting about that time. Before this, for most people, it didn't even matter that much, there were no cars, very few people could read, most people worked on farms or did some kind of simple crafts where the work was right in front of them. The only people that had a real problem were those who's vision was so bad, they couldn't even see enough to walk, and it was probably assumed that they were blind.

Yeah, they just didn't see well. The invention of glasses definitely helped us in the long run. Without glasses, Bill Gates would not have made Microsoft! He would've been too blind. Makes you think eh?

I figure when Jesus made the blind man see, what He did was give him some glasses.
