Well if nobody in your family wears glasses and you feel like youre wasting your familys time then maybe you are. Look you have the silly name "Hannah the Spanner". So obviously youve decided at some point to become some kind of silly person that has to make life harder for herself for no reason and whatever difficulties come up have to be put up with etc. Ive talked to girls who wear glasses before and when i look back on them i just see a female stuck in a messed up world but inside her head its like everything is normal and cannot be changed.

The fact of the matter is that any girl always has the option to have standards. They can choose to be helpful to others, to analyse and be organised etc. Some people however mix with the wrong crowd or struggle with being themselves and decide to change their atttitude to become someone completely different. Maybe this change seems to work well for one day but doing this just brings on so much strain and difficulties. This is showing up with your body malfunctioning (your eyesight for example)

Some people might say "hey give the girl a break, "Its not her fault she has the myopia gene etc" or "Its not her fault that she gets a hard time". Well if you let everyone just sympathise with you and give you an easy time then you would be going nowhere and live a pointless life. Youd be missing out on being the effective woman that you could have been. You'd be contantly struggling with your social life, with having any focus and with relationships.

Ok i see what im saying as being "tough love".
If i just said "you look nice", "youre a nice girl, get glasses and its all good"... id be lying.
I would know in the back of my head that youre just another person heading for nowhere and i wouldn't rate you like other girls.

So basically you have the ability to act like a normal girl, to avoid bad influences and to value your near vision. If right now you can be comfortable allowing something to come near your eyes and look at it in a 100% relaxed state way then you know youre doing a great job. This is how everyone else approaches their vision and look at objects in front of their faces.
Alot of women who wear glasses have a perculiar way of handling objects that come near their eyes.
Im a guy, so im experiencing different scenarios. But you will know when looking at something close if you're relaxed or if youre not relaxed and dealing with it the wrong way.

So when you look near, your eye muscle contracts to change the shape of the lens. This switches on your near vision.
Far vision (seeing the board at school) is when you let go of this contraction and allow the eye muscle to relax.
You are young so you have young, healthy eyes. The lens inside your eye will also be young and very flexable (giving you a good range, near to far). If you were over 50 then we would expect some struggling with your near vision. So right now we can safely say you have good healthy eyes. So value that and make sure you make good use of them. Yourproblem is just being misguided and avoiding your natural way of using your near vision (having this habit also prevents your far vision from being effective)

You know something. Consider the females that live in your house or anyone you're familiar with. You probably know one who is really relaxed and comfortable with reading books for hours or to sitting in front of the computer. Do you notice these people DONT have any vision issues? They also dont have problems with seeing the distance because its no big deal to them.
So with those females its the case that they can easily settle down into using their near vision. They dont go out looking to distract other people for attention or get distracted by other people.

So learn from these people, because in life most people out there use their vision normally. However you probably made some wrong decisions at some point and lost your way (vision-wise)

By the way if you dont care about anything i said fine. You will probably end up with glasses and worse long term vision.

Yes, you need glasses. All you need to do is tell your mom you've been having trouble seeing the board at school and think you need glasses. It is unusual that you are having trouble with both distance and close up. This may just be a result of the eye strain from the one you actually have problems with, or it could mean that you need bifocals. Tell your mom as soon as you can. Eye health is linked to many other health issues (like it's already causing you headaches). You will feel so much better when this is taken care of.. and you'll be amazed at how little you've actually been seeing lately. I've worn glasses/contacts since I was 7, and the fuzzy board from the back of the class is where it started. By the time I told my mom I was at a desk, up against the board, and having to stand up to get really close to read it. Don't wait.

Even if no one else in your family (parents) wears glasses...
Yes you need to do optical test, because your sight will only get WORSE if you didn't wear glasses.

it's exusting your eye nerves when you try to focus long distance or on screen.

Tell your Mom: - I sit close to the board and can't see clearly + I focus on screen and can't read tiny writings! " I Need to make an eye test " and tell your dad as well... you must do it the sooner the better!

for the mean time, glasses will be the superb solution for you! you'll feel like you see the whole world now... Hwahwaha
lol,. after age of 20 I guess you can make laser surgery to replace glasses or contacts if you wanted.

my lil sister was like your case, she waited and her sight only gotten worse without glasses.

get an appointment at the optitions and have an eye check, they are the professionals so they'll know if you need glasses or not.
Personally, I think you do because I have the same problem and I have glasses and now it's easier.

Sounds like you may do.
Specsavers do free eye tests in england I think (and everywhere is free is scotland). Just mention that you have never have one and keep being a little more persistant until she takes the hint.

Yeah i would say you need glasses.Just tell your mum and she can make you an appointment. It's better to go now rather than later, your eyes could get worse.

It sounds like you may well need glasses.

To ask your Mum just say exactly what you wrote in your question.
