Seeing explosions of stars when I look away from a window/lamp/lcd screen?!

Question: Seeing explosions of stars when I look away from a window/lamp/lcd screen?
This has been happening for several months. They're not like the stars one might get when standing up too quickly, but like an explosion of stars as I look away from light. Think of a firework going off. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you've been staring at a bright light, seeing some sort of reflection is normal. Seeing what looks like fireworks is not. You might have some form of light sensitivity. Since this only happens when you look at the light, I doubt it is a serious problem, but it would be a good idea to get checked by an eye specialist.

I know what your talking about I have this too. I also have eye floaters & flashes. I have not gone to a doc. because I am very worried about it all but I just learn to ignore it ... my advice to myself (and you) would be to go to an eye doc. to check it out :)

Look up retina detachment online to see if your problem has any similarities. Don't panic though because you need to be examined before any problem can be confirmed.
