Can anyone help me on contact lens? about saline and the multi purpose solution?!

Question: Can anyone help me on contact lens? about saline and the multi purpose solution?
Ok. today i got my first soft contact lens and they taught me how to wear and take out. so i scared i will forget or did any mistake. so the multi purpose solution is only for rinsing the contact lens case and fill it up full when wanna keep the lens right? then when wanna wear them, rinse with saline and then wear them right ? so does that mean multi purpose solution is only used when we wanna keep the lens? then do we need to mix with saline when we rinse to keep the lens?

sorry for asking, but im confused with saline and the multi purpose solution.:S

Answers:

The multi purpose solution is the important one.

You use that to clean and disinfect your lenses over night. You lenses have to sit in that solution at least 6 hours to get disinfected right.

Saline is just salty water that you can use to give your lenses a quick rinse before putting them on in the morning.

Saline can also be used to store them for awhile if you are just taking your lenses off for a few hours, but will be putting them back on again the same day.

The Multi Purpose solution is used to clean and store the lenses. Most Multi purpose solutions need to be neutralized for 6 hours before you can wear your lenses otherwise you can burn your eyes.

The saline solution is for rinsing the lenses if it became dirty and you want to reinsert it in your eye.

Don't ever mix the solutions. Use them one at a time.

Ignore RAchel - I take my lenses straight out of the multipurpose and put them in my eye.
