I doubt your computer is to blame for your vision getting worse, had you not got a computer, your vision probably would be just the same. Some people use the computer all the time and never need glasses. Yes, you're right, without your glasses, it isn't like you can't see enough to navigate, or anything like that, but you lose a lot of the detail in the distance; reading street signs, recognizing friends, etc, becomes difficult.
