The problem is not your eyes getting smaller (which never happens), but your eyesight will get worse. If you can use the computer without glasses, then don't use them. If you need glasses mostly for distance, then it's harmful to use them for near work, and that will result in worse eyesight.

this is a total myth , if it were true all people who work on computers would be going round with very small eyes and computer firms would be worried. For some reason its alwyas been the case that if people dont' want you to do somethng they say it affects teh eyes. Hence the amount of stories going around about it.

not true at all shes probably just telling you that just to scare you, shes trying to tell you to use the computer so much.

You need to not spend "lots of time on the computer". But no, your eyes will not get smaller.
