It can be, but it's impossible to tell if you have it from your description. Make sure you get an eye exam every single year in which your IOP, or intraocular pressure, is checked. This is a required standard procedure in eye exams, but I have heard that a few "value" places try to make it sound optional and get extra money for it.

It can be, but if someone in your family has never had it doesnt mean you wont have it. It also depends how you are health wise. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, if you are overweight all those things also give you a higher rate of getting glaucoma. You cannot cure glaucoma you can only control it with medicine so make sure you get your eye exam every year.
