Alrighty, so, let's just say that the contact in my left eye was to accidentally fall out of my eye when I blinked. Let's also just say that I was in a rush that morning, said "Screw it." and went to the place I needed to be. Let's also just say that I returned to my house after about 8 hours, found my contact, and put it in my little holder filled with Opti-Free contact solution. Would the solution moisturize it, or would the contact be basically useless.....

It would be risky to wear the contact as it might be infected or damaged. Contacts always know when you are in a rush incidentally and will aim to make your life difficult. You should always approach them pretending you are in no hurry at all.... .
