First time wearing contacts. Need some advice.?!

Question: First time wearing contacts. Need some advice.?
I just started wearing contacts yesterday. Today is the second day. They are quite comfortable and they fit nicely.
Anyway's I just looked in the mirror and I noticed a little red mark on my right eye. Its not to red and its not to big. Is it just my eye getting used to the lense? I am also using Biotrue contact lense cleaner. Could that be causeing that red mark? I am not sure.

It sounds like you may have just nicked your eye with a fingernail while putting your contact lenses in or taking them out. Just try to be more careful when you are handling your lenses and working around your eyes. Make sure to keep fingernails AWAY from the eye, and use only the pads of your fingers.

Don't worry about it. It will heal on its own.

The contact lens solution has nothing to do with it. If you were having some sort of reaction to the contact lens solution, your entire eye would be affected. Not one isolated spot.

Or, the little red mark could be a prominent blood vessel that you've never noticed before (and have always had) because you've never looked at your eyes so closely as you are now with your contact lenses.

Either way, not to worry.

I am an optometry intern.
