Converting my contacts from Freshlook to Acuvue?!

Question: Converting my contacts from Freshlook to Acuvue?
Currently, I wear contacts for corrective vision. I am near sighted. The brand I currently wear is Freshlook Handling Tint.. which has a faint green tint. I don't like it. I also don't think they're very comfortable. I want totally clear contacts, so I want the Acuvue 2 brand. I want to order from 1800contacts.com, but I noticed the options are different. I can accurately select the power needed, which is -2.00 on both eyes. But for the BC (base curve) and DIA (diameter), my options differ. For the Acuvue 2's, I can select from 8.7 or 8.3. From looking at my Freshlook contact box, the BC is labeled 'Median'. On the 1800contacts.com site, when I go to order a box of Freshlook Handling Tints, the only option I have is a BC of 8.6. So, if that's what mine is, will I be okay to go up to 8.7? Also, the DIA of the Freshlooks are 14.5, and for the Acuvue 2s it is 14.0. Will this make a difference? I swear I have work Acuvue in my past and changed to Freshlook for colors, but I don't want colors anymore. Please help me convert. Thank you!

You would do best to return to your ophthalmologist for an exam, specifically to have those things measured and get a new prescription. You need a BC close to your own, and without measuring you can't guess which that would be. If the 8.7 is too large, your contacts won't stay put. The diameter is also important, as that determines where the majority of the correction is centered on the lenses. That would be a lot safer and cheaper than purchasing contacts that might not fit. Plus technically, they are only supposed to dispense the type contacts your prescription is written for. If it says Fresh look, it would have to be those or a similar kind. Sorry.
