What contact lenses are best for people with allergies?!

Question: What contact lenses are best for people with allergies?
I'm currently using Focus Night and Day ones(monthlies), which are great except for spring and early summer. Then they are awful. With a week or even a few days, they become uncomfortable and are no longer smooth. No amount of soaking or rubbing them clean seems to help. I'm having no luck with antihistamines or eye drops to control the allergy symptoms in my eyes.

The best any optometrist seems to come up with is "wear your glasses instead", but I hate that. My eyesight is so bad that I'm darn near blind so with glasses rather than contacts I have no peripheral vision and it drives me insane. Plus, at work I'm constantly using hot water and must see what I am doing, but the hot water instantly fogs my glasses up.

Answers:

Daily disposable contact lenses are the best for people who have allergies.

Every day you open a new package with a new lens to wear so you throw it away at night and your eyes are great.

But let me worn you, dailies are expensive compared to to monthly/annual.

Good luck with your contacts!

The only thing that might work is switching to dailies during the spring/early summer. Since its your allergies that mess with the contacts and not the contacts itself, switching to another biweekly/monthly wont help much. If you switch to daily contacts than they wont be worn for more than a day and wont become uncomfortable.
