Ah...Question about Dry-Eye Syndrome?!

Question: Ah...Question about Dry-Eye Syndrome?
For a while now, my eye(the left one if it means anything....) has been randomly watering. My cousin suggested the possibility of Dry-Eye Syndrome and when I looked it up, I saw that some of the symptoms are what I go through; my eyes are sometimes flimy-ish, sometimes they feel itchy, I don't think they get red, my vision sometimes gets blurry mostly in my left eye, and when I go outside, even if it's overcast, it will hurt my eyes. Most these are just my left eye. Could I have Dry-Eye Syndrome?

It could be. I have dry eye syndrome and that happens to me too. Honestly, though, I would schedule an appointment with an optometrist and ask them.

I'm no doctor. :P

It's entirely possible; dry eye syndrome is fairly common. It's also an easy thing to fix most of the time: over-the-counter eyedrops, either as needed to relieve symptoms, or on a regular basis (2-4 times per day) to prevent symptoms. It's a little odd that you're only having it in one eye -- usually both get it -- but if one eye is straining more or has had an injury or anything else, then it's entirely possible.
If you're looking to fix this without a trip to the eye doctor, ask your pharmacist what type of eyedrops they recommend. (Brand names vary from place to place, but it probably won't be a Visine product.) If it doesn't work, you're going to need to visit an optometrist or ophthalmologist to figure out the rest.

I'm an optometrist.

For dry eyes I use Cellulose eye drops, again you can get over the counter, my eye surgeon put me on to them as they are the best.

You bear the curse of perpetual sorrow. Your left eye will constantly cry and make you look sad for the rest of your life.
