Depends on what laser lights you mean.
If they are a toy for children to use, then there is no real laser, it is just an LED light, and poses no danger.
If you mean real laser pointers that can be bought at many places for 10 or 15 dollars, then children shouldn't be playing with them to begin with, even though they aren't very strong.
Prolonged shining in the eyes CAN cause damage if they are the real thing, even the weak ones.
Real pointers that are usually around $75.00 at least, are strong enough to do damage within seconds.
I find it strange that the sales of laser pointers isn't restricted.

wow, it's true.a high power laser would be quite harmful to human retina. It is not safe to play with a children.
